It's sad to see that a lot of people are disappointed to since the update has been delayed like a million times. The first thought release date is to be late-March to early-April. Then it got delayed to mid-April. Then to beginning of May. Then mid-May. And then finally late-May or early-June. I personally hate these type of things. (When I was little I got "delayed" for ice-cream for 2 straight nights of dinner XD)
Even though I hate those things, I can still imagine the hard work Jens, Johan and the other have been doing on this update.
So far, here are the current features of 0.7.0:
Buckets
Eggs (I can finally egg someone's house!)
Milk
Cake (I wanted pumpkin pie but I guess you can't always have what you want)
Possibly Tall Grass
Online Multiplayer
In-game chat
Names of the player(s) above their heads (finally!)
New Player interface and Main Menu (this is now similar to the one in PC)
In-game menu
Cool update, isn't it? Now, let's talk about the future of MCPE. The developers want to make it close to the PC and Xbox Editions but they wish to implement a version-exclusive thing. According to the developers, these are what they want for the future of MCPE:
Breeding - is planned after baby animals, which cannot be spawned by breeding but spawn naturally, have been added in 0.6.0
Endermen and possibly the End - more mobs are planned and players want the proper ending to the game.
Infinite worlds - Minecraft Pocket Edition clones have infinite worlds so the developers are planning on this.
Enchanting - not sure how it will be implemented but it is said to come on any update from 0.9.0 beyond. (Infinity bows all the way!)
Brewing Potions - planned to come out along with Enchanting. Because of this, things like Golden Carrots, Nether Warts, spider eyes and other witch-like crap will be added.
Redstone - I think they will implement it on 0.8.0 or 0.9.0. (they implemented it so I would be able to grief like hell)
The future is pretty bright for MCPE. If they just implement the proper stuff, it'll be pretty epic. I mean come on, it's already 10 million sales since Nov. 2011. compared to PC's 10 million since mid-2009 (hply shit!)
